When a car is named Beast, you know it’s going to have a mean bite. An upstart American supercar company, Rezvani, has created a car for people who value one thing: performance! Weighing about 1,000 lbs. less than a Mazda Miata, and with up to 500-horsepower, the Rezvani Beast needs only 2.7 seconds to sprint from 0 to 60 mph.
There is a wild new entry in the supercar world, and it goes by the name ‘Beast.’
The Rezvani Beast uses the bare bones Ariel Atom sports car as a base, before upping the performance (and craziness) to levels that rival the worlds’ fastest exotic cars.
Tipping the scales at only 1,550 lbs., the Beast 500 weighs about 1,000 lbs. less than a tiny Mazda MX-5 Miata roadster. But with 500-horsepower on tap, courtesy of a supercharged and turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, the Rezvani Beast can scorch its rear wheels on its way to sub-3.0 second runs from zero to 60 mph.
Only a few cars, such as the Bugatti Veyron and Nissan GT-R, accelerate faster than this bantamweight.
Even the milder version, the supercharged Beast 300, is ridiculously quick. With 315-horsepower, along with an even lighter 1,470 lb. curb-weight, this ‘entry-level’ model could humiliate many Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Aston Martins.
The only transmission offered is a 6-speed manual fitted with a limited slip differential. Carbon fiber body panels are affixed to the Ariel Atom’s tubular frame, and Alcon competition-spec brakes are tucked neatly behind each 19-inch PUR alloy wheel.
A stout roll-cage is there, should things go really wrong. To minimize the chance of any mishaps, Rezvani also includes a one-day driving course on a racetrack with the purchase of any Beast 500 – we’d suggest taking them up on that offer!
